Changing To Oxford Blues.

The Oxford Blues Skater Hockey Club is proud to have virtually all 'home grown' talent. We always want to help those players that need it and want to make the effort to improve, but we do not go in for poaching of other teams players.

Club Hoppers.
Oxford Blues have a policy of discouraging ‘poaching’ and ‘club hopping’. We believe that ultimately this practice is bad for the sport, the players, and the Clubs. Unlike many other clubs, we expect that players who want to join Oxford Blues have a good reason to be leaving their existing club and are not just hoping to join a team because it is winning.

New players from other clubs will have to earn their position and respect within our squads. We value loyalty.

Good Reasons to join Oxford.

Moved into the area.
- Club/Team has disbanded.

Bad reasons To Join Oxford.
"I Want to get to the Nationals this year" - We only take players who have contributed to the seasons success.
"
I dont get much game time at my club" - are you sure you deserve much game time?
Had an argument with the coaching staff.- If you know best, why aren’t you coaching instead of arguing?
Got told to leave the club.- Better be a good reason why.

Players who dont have a good reason to Join Oxford usually end up leaving after a season. While we always want to help anyone who needs it, we put our existing loyal players first.

We are always prepared to welcome enthusiastic and committed players who will make a positive contribution to our club.

Top squad and Development squad
IN 2005, The Oxford Blues has two teams in most age groups. It is our policy to put any new players into the development squad for the current season. New players may then earn their place in the top squad for next season.

If we ever have just a single team in any age group, then players joining from another club will not get priority over existing players.
