Wheatley Peewee/Youth Tournament.
This was a very close run tournament with each team making the other work hard for their victory. Storm found it hard to find their feet in the the first 2 games. They had to play 2 tough back to back games due to a delay in LSW getting to the venue late with problems on the road, they struggled in both games to get their game going.
The LSW game could have gone either way with LSW taking the lead twice and with the scores ties at 4 all it was only 2 late goals that gave Storm the win.
The Havering game also was a tight affair and Storm really tied with such a hard 1st game against LSW. Storm took the lead only to be pegged back inthe 2nd period by Havering.
Storm know that their next game against B'Wood could decide how their day was to end and after a 2 game break and well earnt rest they were ready for the challange. Storm raced to a 3-0 lead early on and then continued to play great hockey scoring a further 7 goals.
This result really lifted the side and in the last game Storm were back on track winning 12-1 to set up a Final against B'wood.
The Final was a much closer game with both side creating chances, Storm scored 2 quick goals and then added another before B'wood replied with a goal.
Well done to everyone who helped to creat a great day for the players and all of the Officials for their hard work.
