Oxford Blues Presentation Evening.

On Friday 17th January 2003, the club held its annual presentation evening to award honours, trophies and medals to players and officials. This year it was at the Mason Arms in Headington Quarry.

After eating our way through a buffet selection and drinking the bar dry, it was time to recognise the achievements of the club members.

AWARDS
For each team age group, there where three awards:
Players player.
This award is voted for by the players, for the team member that they feel deserves special recognition.
Coaches Award
An award to the player that the coach feels deserves special recognition.
Most improved player.
Awarded by the Coach and manager to the player they consider has improved the most over the past season.

Coaches Award was George Wagerfield
And Most improved player was.... George Wagerfield - a rare hat trick! - well done George.

ClubPerson Award
This year went to Bales (Karen Baley) - for dedication to the club above the call of duty - and very well deserved.

But of course, every player is a winner. The coaches, managers and committee members each got a present including a very fetching baseball cap.

Raffle
After some truly memorable speeches (especially by the Youth manager, the stand-in senior Manager and the Veterans manager),, the raffle was drawn.

We had heard that a local dance troop was in town and was going to entertain us with some choreographic amusements. Nothing too exciting, some 2-step, a bit of latin-american maybe...what we got blew our socks off...!!!
