On the weekend of September 1st and 2nd, Skater hockey took over Blackbird Leys
A total of 8 Youth teams from around the UK competed in this Oxford skater hockey tournament.

The Tournament was Bisha sanctioned, with an international level technical director. Each team got a minimum of 6 games of 2x15 minutes. The games where organised as a day of qualifying rounds with two groups of teams playing to earn group position. All teams then played for places in the semis and final on the Sunday.
We had a Millennium Awards grant to pay for the rental, seating and officials, and sponsorship from major companies. The event was mentioned in the Oxford mail, and on BBC radio Oxford's breakfast show the day before.
Prizes where given for spirit of the tournament, fastest slapshot, Accuracy shooting, speed skating and agility.Raffle for some great prizes donated by our sponsors. Thanks to PHA leisure, E-PUCK, K2 and Ultraworld for their generous donation of raffle prizes.
Thanks to Critchleys accountants, Paul Hurrell Building for sponsorship
What a weekend! 8 Hand picked teams from around the country did battle in the leys.
