Wheatley on Saturdays is the best place to get started in inline skating and get a taste of Roller hockey.<Click Here for a map>
Rollermania runs every Saturday evening at Wheatley Park lesiure center, from 7:00 to 8:30. All levels of skaters are catered for. From absolute beginners, Mums, Dads and experts. Kids can show off new moves and help out beginners. Adults can benefit from the great exercise. Every one can take it at their own pace.
The atmosphere is friendly, there's music, speed skating, freestylers, jumps, speed skating, fun and games to get every one going. Aldie chamlmers (the Oxford Blues coach) is usually there to officiate.
The price is £2.50 for the hour and a half of Rollermania - and Adults go free!,

The Wheatley park Conga.
Hockey takes over after the Rollermania session, at 8:30 to 10:30. Any one can join in and some sticks are provided. All age groups and abilities can play together. Protective kit is not required, but is recommended. £3.70 for the two hours of Hockey.
Over 60 skaters attend the Rollermania each week, Proof of the popularity of the sessions is that a Wheatley Hockey team (youth age group- 12-15) has now been formed - good luck the Wheatley park Pirahnas!
